FANCY REMIXING SLINKY’S 13TH BIRTHDAY THEME TUNE?!
On Saturday May 1st, Slinky are celebrating its 13th birthday at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth with a Wonderland theme. To help celebrate this momentous occasion, Slinky have signed an all time classic track for release on Slinky Digital, the same day as its birthday.
“Malice In Wonderland” by Pants & Corset is a world renowned dance anthem, however this re-release has a twist! Slinky have recruited the talents of Lee Haslam, Jordan Suckley & Michael Dow, all of whom are playing on May 1st, to remix Slinky’s official 13th Birthday theme tune for release on Slinky Digital, but there is space for one more remix…… which is where you come in!
As an early birthday present, Slinky are making the production parts for this track available to any up and coming trance producers who feel they have the skills to deliver a first class remix for full release. Simply email lee@slinky.co.uk for the parts and get your entry into him by 12 Noon on Wednesday March 26th 2010 to be in with a chance of winning. All Entries will be judged by Eddie Halliwell, Pants & Corset, Lee Haslam & Slinky’s Managing Director Richard Skaife so if you think you have got what it takes to make Slinky’s 13th Birthday Theme, then get in touch now!

Oliver Brooks Presents Mandown – “See You There”
Oliver Brooks has been a man that has been watched closely by label boss Lee Haslam over recent months. Oliver’s debut track “One Night In Gaunt Street” made it to Lee’s top 20 of 2009 together with his remix of “Blind Rage”, so it was only a matter of time before a track from the young starlet made it onto Digital Remedy.
Oliver has already featured on the label, by remixing Lee’s latest hit single “Har-umph” to great effect, so to follow this up with a debut single for the label is a proud moment for all at Digital Remedy HQ.
“See You There” is released under a new alias for Oliver as he presents his “Mandown” project to the masses. This alias is for his more banging projects and when you hear this track you will see why. Combining a lush chord progression with some punchy production and attacking synths, this gem is destined for the dizzy heights of many a download chart.
On remix duties, the label welcome another debutant in Lee Osbourne. Again another producer that has been on the Digital Remedy radar after the recent success of his release “E-Swing”, coupled with his superb remixes of Ladyhawk’s “Magic” & Marco V’s “Automanual”. Lee serves up a cooler and more down tempo affair which complements the original superbly.
