Arctic Sun – Sunstate Sounds

DJ Biography

The man behind „Arctic Sun“ was born in 1987 in the northern of Germany near the dutch border. With singing and guitar playing parents he raised in a really musical family. After many years of learning notes and classical instruments in the local music school he became his first contact to electronic dance music in 1996 with „Robert Miles-Children“. He was so impressed and thrilled by that track that he wants more of this music. And with the TV show „Club Rotation“ he found the right source.

In the year 2000 the „Blank & Jones“ hit „The nightfly“ awoke his desire to create these music by himself. On christmas he got the software „Magix Music Maker“ to make his first little steps in producing. After many years of practising he´s now working with „Propellerhead Reason“ and a midi keyboard.

The reason to start „the magic of mixing“ came in 2002 with the mix compilation „The Mix Vol. 1“ by „Blank & Jones“. After four years of spinning vinyls (at the beginning on the turntables of his father) he alternates to cd-players.

In the summer of 2008 he starts his own radio show „SUNSTATE SOUNDS“ on the local fm station „Ems-Vechte-Welle“ in Germany and on his MySpace. Because of a growing fan base and some good feedback on his episodes he decided to take the next step in his career in February 2009. He sent his show to some internet radio stations in the UK and New Zealand which put it in their schedules immediately. Since then „SUNSTATE SOUNDS“ is an growing international show. In February 2010 every episode was broadcasted in nine countries.
